Where form meets function

Car customizers Kahn Design unveil their latest project, a heavily-modified Land Rover Defender dubbed the “Chelsea Longnose.” Equipped with a 495-bhp V8 engine, the British tuner claims that it’s “probably the fastest Land Rover on the planet.” The engine delivers power to all four wheels through a six-speed electronic gearbox, while the tuning also includes a new race-derived braking system.

The name itself comes from the extended wheelbase and engine bay, while further additions include a new front bumper with integral LED lamps and sump guard, wide wheel arches holding a choice of 16, 18 or 20-inch wheels, crosshair headlamps, and a new X-Lander Grille.

Interior upgrades include hand-trimmed racing seats, a sports steering wheel, drilled pedals, and custom dials, alongside optionally-available integrated satellite navigation system, tweed trim detailing, and a choice of luxury floor and headlining materials.

The firm will produce only 49 UK examples of the “Chelsea Longnose” with a base price of £89,950 ($148,000 USD).
