Where the runway meets the street

Tucked away in a nondescript warehouse in Bushwick, Brooklyn sits the studio and factory of Knickerbocker MFG Co. We had the opportunity to spend the afternoon with a group of pioneering young gentleman, who are carving their own lane in a highly competitive market, one chain-stitch at a time. Their space is truly inspiring — rugged hardwoods, antique machinery, scattered vintage Playboy mags, and a mini-ramp smack in the middle of the production floor.

Knickerbocker MFG Co. operate their own factory in Brooklyn. “MFG,” or manufacturing, denotes that they construct and produce their garments on-premise — a rarity even amongst boutique label today. Their growing in-house label is a loose recipe of traditional American menswear and classic workwear staples with a strong mid-century sensibility. It simply feels authentic.

Along with handling their own product development and production, they work with some in-house favorites like The Hill-Side3sixteen, and an upcoming project with Blind Barber. We suggest visiting them online to learn more.
