Host of this year’s FIFA World Cup, Brazil unveiled its new away kit. The Seleção will enter the pitch wearing the traditional blue jersey updated with a number of clever design twists, alongside Nike‘s latest technology. Inspired by the country’s flora and fauna, as well as its rich history, the jersey features tonal stripes containing tiny geometric circles and diamonds taken from the Brazilian flag. Nike worked closely with acclaimed Brazilian designer Bruno Big to create the pennant tab inside the back of the neck that shows the Southern Cross, the constellation of stars on the nation’s flag. The font used on the jersey is inspired by hand-printed posters found in the streets across Brazil. Going for a slimmer and more tailored fit, the new shorts are white with a cut specifically designed to aid movement and comfort, while Nike’s signature laser vents promote cooling and moisture management.

The Brazil away kit will be available for pre-order on nike.com starting March 19 and available in Nike stores from April 3.
