Where the runway meets the street

Everything’s better with a backstory. That’s why Portland’s wooden-framed shade pioneers Shwood have teamed up with one of America’s most beloved baseball bat makers to create a new range of eyewear with the memory of thousands of swings in every pair. Celebrating 130 years at the heart of the sport, Louisville Slugger have supplied Shwood with some of their famed ash timber to create two new versions of their Canby and Haystack models, carved from real, used baseball bats. Laser-cut, delicately-milled, flame-toasted and hand-finished, they’re a true fan’s way to breathe a new lease of life into a much-loved icon.

Hit your very own style home run over at the Shwood website and get an insight into how they’re made via the video below.
