The concept of guerrilla running—where crews of enthusiastic, non-professional runners meet to traverse their cities at night—has been growing in popularity right across the world, with new people discovering the thrill of this urban pastime every day. London’s Run Dem Crew is now a well-known institution, having branched out into music production and various collaborations with major brands, as its founder Charlie Dark explained to us in an interview last week.

Still, despite this increasing popularity, many of these crews have grown up in isolation, pacing the sidewalks and pavements of their respective cities without ever sharing that passion further afield. Then came #BRIDGETHEGAP: a project to unite crews from across the world and find a way for them to meet their fellow guerrilla runners, and that’s exactly what Berlin-based creative team WEVER/ELGERSMA captured in their six-minute short documentary, ‘#BRIDGETHEGAP—THE STORY.’ Eleven crews, nine cities, hundreds of runners, but just one passion.
