Tune in and turn up

Following the release of “Love Never Felt So Good” featuring Justin Timberlake, today we are presented with the first taste of a Timbaland-produced Michael Jackson track thanks to the release of “Chicago.” The song was originally entitled “She Was Lovin’ Me” and was written by songwriter Cory Rooney. The song was recorded in mid-1999 at New York’s The Hit Factory studio for inclusion on MJ’s Invincible, and then was updated by Timbo for release on Xscape. “Chicago” features Jackson singing in his lower register over an ominous beat, painting a story of an illicit affair. Xscape is now available for pre-order through iTunes and will arrive in stores on May 13.
