Electrically-powered vehicles are growing exponentially in the market to the point where they’re not even an embarrassment anymore. In fact I’d go so far to say that they’re not only accepted but welcomed in a market of saturated models. Zero Motorcycles announce the release of their full electrically-powered motorbike. The Zero SR Electric Motorcycle produces 70 peak horsepower and 106 ft-lbs of torque, around a 10% increase on the 1200cc EBR 1190RX superbike. The bike is lighter than most on the market which gives it a huge power-to-weight advantage over other bikes. And the absence of clutch or gears means the motorcycle can go full throttle without any lag, which results in an electric bike that is as close, if not better, than traditional petrol-powered ones.
