Tune in and turn up

We could not be more excited for Frank Muytjens, head of men’s design at J.Crew, to curate our second “Selectism Mix” this Friday afternoon. Music has always been a major inspiration point for Muytjens, as we discovered during some of our earliest conversations.

As a soundtrack to his work, this Selectism Mix is a driving collection of beats and sounds — both obscure and known — that draw upon his early days: “I grew up in the ’80s, so this is a selection of songs that have been with me for as long as I can remember,” tells Muytjens. “[I’m] definitely a New Wave fan, but I liked Dance as well, and if those two came together — to me that was perfection. I loved the mix of elegant melodies with an industrial beat, the mix of robotic and human.”

Curated by Frank Muytjens and mixed by his good friend, Erik Rydju, we present Selectism Mix 02.
