There was a time when we were excited about those T-shirts disguised as sports jerseys. The Margiela 57, Tisci 74 and Kawakubo 42 — we’ve all worn one, or at least thought about wearing one. LPD New York, originator of the designer dream team shirts, is still holding onto those, but have expanded well beyond just cotton tees. The small New York brand recently released their Fall/Winter 2014 collection video featuring cut-and-sewn ready-to-wear styles, all runway-presentable. Founder and co-creative director Benjamin Fainlight admitted that his shirts were a fad, but we can tell right away that this collection is not. Shearling outerwear, tailored suiting, asymmetric cuts and oversized silhouettes make the lineup rich and covetable. Watch the video above and shop LPD’s current offering here.
