Where form meets function

Iconic American bike manufacturer Harley-Davidson goes electric with the Livewire motorcycle. Although the bike isn’t available for dealers just yet, Harley-Davidson will be taking the electric two-wheeler on a cross-country tour through 30 dealers located on Route 66. Afterwards, the bike will make its way through select cities in Canada and Europe. Features include design cues reminiscent of a naked sport bike with an exposed trellis frame and dual-sided rear swing arm suspension. The engine, however, is decidedly non-Harley as there’s no big V-twin, and instead the electric motor appears partially exposed in a polished case underneath. Technical details are unknown at the moment although the company promises “tire-shredding acceleration and an unmistakable new sound.”
