Where the runway meets the street

Passion project can output some of the most interesting and personal garments. When Joh Rubin, head honcho of in-the-now website Cool Hunting was looking to put his personal touch on the common pop-over shirt, he called his Scott Morrison, friend and founder of New York custom denim house, 3×1. Together, the two worked to reimagine the pop-over using fine Japanese fabrics from 3×1’s catalog. Five pop-over shirts were developed – in four shades of blue and white – in limited runs of 30 units, all made in New York. The collection is available online.
