Known for bridging the gap between high-end and street footwear, Amsterdam-based footwear label Filling Pieces presents their Fall/Winter 2014 collection. The range is based on the brand’s signature silhouettes and introduces several new fabrics, like TSA woven, leather and cotton wire woven patterns, natural grain and Scottish grain leather, and marbleized rubber margom cup soles in grey or camouflage. Completely new to their line is the Era Low model which is based on a classic skate shoe from the ’70s, with the shape having been redesigned to offer a more clean and sophisticated aesthetic. Titled “Less is More,” a lot of minimalistic detailing can be found in this season’s products, like embossment of leather and camouflage-colored leather interior lining. The footwear label also used two of Liberty London’s floral and boat print fabrics on a few of their low-top trainers. While the handcrafted Portuguese production runs are still limited, the “Less is More” collection will be available at select stockists as well as Filling Pieces’ online store beginning next week.
