Christopher Raeburn introduced his Spring/Summer 2015 collection by taking a road less traveled. Instead of the run-of-the-mill fashion short films, he and designer Thomas Traum co-created “Meridian,” a CGI short that begins in an airfield and ends in a desert.
It makes sense considering the Spring collection largely consists of reconstructed Swiss military garments, which were inspired by jet aviation and Raeburn’s personal commitment to sustainability.
The film is just over two minutes, but with the ultra-realistic CGI effects it was a feat to produce. It’s astonishingly detailed, right down to the movement of the garments, which are actually extremely realistic renderings taken from 3D scans of the collection. Check it out below.
