Where form meets function

City cycling is growing more and more popular right now, especially among the high-end commuter market. This, in turn, has spurred a new growth in premium quality hybrid bikes designed specifically for the urban environment. In recent weeks we’ve already seen concept bikes made from titanium and the custom-designed CYLO, but now established cycle brand Canyon has stepped into the ring with two offerings. Like so many modern commuter bikes, the Canyon Commuter features a carbon belt drivetrain to avoid any greasy stains on your trousers, along with hub gears, integrated lighting that’s part of the frame, hydraulic disc brakes, and twin mudguards that double up as luggage racks. The Canyon Urban, meanwhile, has a conventional steel drivetrain, Supernova lighting, and a theft-protected seat post. Both models are available in either matte gray or white, and can be pre-ordered via the Canyon website.
