American label Perry Ellis presents their forthcoming Spring/Summer 2015 season as part of New York Fashion Week, topped off with an appearance from Creative Director Michael Maccari at the show’s end. Taking cues from the Big Apple’s structured grid system and with a healthy dose of sharp suiting, the collection mixed white-collar workwear with athletic sports gear in a juxtaposition that reflected the changing focus of American menswear from dressed-up stiffness to a more relaxed, casual direction. Fans of the NYC label should check out last week’s interview with Maccari.
