Last week during the Folkestone Triennial in Kent, Banksy created a new mural, entitled Art Buff, depicting an older woman staring at an empty plinth while wearing headphones with her hands clasped behind her back. The following day, the art piece was covered with plexiglass as to avoid being damaged or ruined by the elements or vandalizers. Now, just two weeks after it appeared, Banksy’s Art Buff has been vandalized with a giant spray-painted penis. Thanks to the plexiglass, the damage is not expected to be permanent.

Regarding the incident, a Kent police spokesman said: “We were called at 8 p.m. on Sunday to a report of criminal damage in Rendezvous Street, Folkestone. It was reported that artwork on a wall had been painted on and officers attended the scene. Inquiries are ongoing.”
