G-Star and Swiss furniture company Vitra have once again come together to resurrect a selection of Jean Prouvé-designed office masterpieces. Reworked for the demands of modern office life, the collection revives a series of furniture and lighting originals designed by Jean Prouvé in the 1940s for the offices of major French industrial companies. First conceived to furnish the new G-Star RAW HQ, the new collection is presented in a custom palette inspired by the greens of classic industrial machinery, and features the necessary adaptions for the modern workplace. Desks have been made modular and feature cable gutters, power fittings and height adjustable legs, and the desk chair has been given a more stable, 5-prong base.

Constructed from steel and solid timber, and finished in leather and premium fabrics, the collaboration comprises 11 models that include office chairs, lamps and tables. The “Prouvé RAW: Office Edition” collection will be available from G-Star and Vitra beginning April 2015.
