Tune in and turn up

After a 14-year hiatus, and two years of hearing his album was “99% finished,” new material from neo-soul legend and Soulquarian D’Angelo has at last been released. “Sugah Daddy” has been taken off his forthcoming album, Black Messiah. The album will be premiered today in New York and although a release date has yet to be announced, there’s rumors it could surface as early as Tuesday. “Sugah Daddy” was first premiered during D’Angelo’s 2012 comeback tour, and he’s embarking on another one in early 2015. The track was debuted on where it was available to download for the first 1,000 – needless to say those downloads are long gone. But you can still enjoy the track in the player below, and watch the trailer for Black Messiah.
