“When it comes to stylish dressing, some things stay the same.” We agree, Esquire. The magazine’s UK title release a series of covers for February 2015 fronted by timeless figures of style from decades past. Sean Connery, James Dean, Paul Newman, Elvis Presley and Jean-Paul Belmondo are the chosen ones, presented in almost heroic black-and-white portraits from their days of youth.
Esquire UK “deconstructs” the style and looks of each icon, providing “how to dress” tutorials with products that can be shopped today. As a sneak peek, they’ve released their style guide to dressing like Paul Newman online, the 1950s and ’60s movie star who’s responsible for popularizing the aviator sunglasses frame. We’re glad to see in-house favorites like Sunspel, Oliver Peoples, Richard James and Ben Sherman on the list.
