Nigel Cabourn brings his popular British workwear aesthetic to Journal Standard‘s J.S. Homestead, the Japanese retailer’s sub-line for “American casual vintage wear.” Cabourn will release a tight capsule collection of jackets, shirts and bottoms, collectively called “The Drawing Room.” Why the range of denim shirts and utility pants is called that we aren’t too sure — perhaps the seemingly lax designs are meant to be worn when resting or “withdrawing” as British middle and upperclass did in the drawing rooms of 17th-century.
The Nigel Cabourn for J.S. Homestead capsule collection will be available at Journal Standard’s Omotesando location starting March 5 at Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo 6-7-1 and at J.S. Homestead’s store in Horie, Osaka-shi, Nishi-ku, Minami 1-16-19.
