Heritage Danish sports brand hummel have teamed up with Tokyo’s atmos on the very limited-edition Globetrotter 28 sneaker. Introduced in 1987, the Globetrotter was hummel’s signature basketball silhouette, and was the first for the brand which didn’t feature its iconic chevron side detailing. Twenty-eight years since its launch, the Globetrotter is back, in a special collaboration with the Japanese retailer. Sporting a premium black full-grain leather upper, an off-white sole gives a nod to the classic OG model, while the black/red/white colorway references both the Danish and Japanese flags.
Launched last week on March 19 during a special event at atmos’ Shibuya, Tokyo store, we were there to capture the special occasion. With only 28 pairs available, one for every year that has gone by since the shoe was introduced, the Globetrotter 28 is available exclusively in-store at atmos, while stocks last.
