Prolific brothers, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, design the “Belleville” furniture range for famed Swiss company, Vitra, focusing in on versatility. The line boasts both indoors and outdoors choices, with the chairs constructed from black polyamide and the tables employing robust powder-coated aluminium. The stackable selection uses hardwearing materials for the seat panels including tough polypropylene, optimal for outdoor use, while upholstery and thin plywood provide a lighter finish for the indoors pieces.

Keeping the range as portable as possible, the one-line frame structure allows each chair to slide on top of another for easy storage, making “Belleville” ideal for large-scale events. In this short film we’re shown the collection in anti-gravity motion, allowing a three-dimensional view of the pieces in all their glory. Press play and keep an eye on the Vitra website for release dates.
