Slam City Skates, one of London’s proudest skateboarding institutions and parent company of brand-du-jour Palace Skateboards, have opened a brand new retail spot in Covent Garden – right around the corner from where the previous store used to be.

The original location had boasted the proud record of Europe’s oldest skate shop, having remained there since 1986, but rising rents in the central London district forced it to shutter those premises and find something new. Fortunately for its longstanding legion of fans, the new store offers exactly the same extensive selection of skate decks, footwear, DVDs, and – of course – apparel from all the major and not-so-major names in the business.

If making that pilgrimage is too much to manage, you can shop all their wares direct from their website. Then go check out the new collection from their buddies at Palace, who also just opened their debut store not too far away…
