As Milan’s Salone del Mobile 2015 comes to a close, we present a recap featuring some of this year’s best designs. Once again held at Fiera Milano, the main pavilion played host to perennial heavyweights like vitra and Artek, as well as recent contenders such as Mattiazzi and Emeco. Scandinavian design sensibilities rubbed shoulders with local Italian craftsmanship, creating a certain sense of coherence across the hundreds of exhibitors.

Within the same overall venue but in separate buildings, EuroLuce and SaloneSatellite offered creations featuring light specialists and upcoming designers, respectively. Italian manufacturer Artemide had a strong showing, as did Vibia and Michael Anastassiades. Notable designers in the SaloneSatellite hall like Paul Puskarich, meanwhile, showed off innovative wares like a chair constructed of aluminum heat sink material.
