Los Angeles-based clothing label Band of Outsiders may be no more. Fashionista is reporting that the brand has laid off most of its staff and has cancelled all fall wholesale orders. The inside information has come from several individuals who have worked with the company, while Band itself has yet to provide any sort of official statement.

The imprint was founded back in 2004 by designer Scott Sternberg, as it was quickly picked up by Barneys, then cultivating an impressive following over the next several years. Upon opening its inaugural standalone store in Tokyo in 2013, Band of Outsiders went on to launch its first retail spot in the United States just last year. This stateside location is still standing.

Again, no definitive word from the Band of Outsiders camp has been sent out, but the signs and rumors are obviously not promising.

Not NYC, not LA.
