They only launched today, but already Nanoblocks’ new range with McDonald’s in Hong Kong has sold out in restaurants across the island. The promotional items – a Big Mac, fries, milkshake, apple pie, McFlurry and tiny McDonald’s restaurant, all built using the novelty toy blocks – were individually on sale for $20HKD (around $2.50) when buying a meal, and proved to be such a hit with customers that many outlets sold out in next to no time. While a limited number of extra units have been made available for purchase up until June 24 ($198HKD, or $25 for the full set), chances are they won’t hang around for long.
