Located in McLean, Virginia, the Bridge House designed by architecture firm Höweler + Yoon is a family home that sits on a protected wooded area. Framing views of the surrounding landscape are three volumetric elements: the bedroom volume, the shared living volume that includes the kitchen and family room areas, and a bar of bedrooms that spans between the first two. Large glass windows face the woods and serve as an extension of the outdoors, blurring the outside and inside spaces.
