A young designer to watch, currently in her second year at Parsons the New School for Design in NYC, Colleen Allen displays her promising Spring/Summer 2015 collection in this latest lookbook. An assured showing, this cosy selection of unisex clothing pushes some interesting ideas, her off-beat silhouettes reminiscent of Martine Rose and J.W Anderson. Exaggerated lengths, slim fitting layers, tied waists and a peek of the ubiquitous man-skirt; the dominant color palette of clean white and beige feels starkly futuristic. Broken down, the range offers enough wearable pieces to keep the less adventurous happy, we’re particular fans of those soft, ribbed knits. “By presenting the same clothing for both men and women it poses a question of identity and creativity.” Find out more over at Allen’s website.
