i-D recently commissioned a short film exploring the history of London’s iconic grime scene. Delving deep into archival footage from 2003, the short chronicles the movement’s break away from the garage scene and the groundbreaking music (and style) that ensued. Scene veterans like D Double E, Skepta, Wiley, Crazy Titch and Dizzee Rascal are all featured in the short, which is followed by a few minutes chronicling the emo craze which gripped the UK during the same period.
