Graphic designer Inka Mathew found herself intrigued by the colors in the everyday objects around her, and decided to use her Pantone color book to match the colors of tiny objects to their respective Pantone numbers. She started photographing and sharing her matches, resulting in a series of images that are striking in their simplicity. Objects range from wedges from Mathew’s clementines (PMS 496 C) to marshmallows in her son’s Lucky Charms (PMS 2255 C). The project has spawned a hugely successful Tumblr page and Instagram, with a book slated for Spring 2016.
Take a look at Mathew’s images in the slideshow above, and see more of her PMS matches on her website.
