New Balance's UK team release the "Napes Pack" for the 577 silhouette, dressed out in two bright colorways inspired by the distinct colors of mountaineering gear. Although designed for the streets, the "Napes Pack" specifically references the Napes Needle, a shard of rock in England's Lake District and one of the most difficult climbs in the country, close to England's highest mountain, Scafell Pike, and only several miles away from New Balance's UK factory located on the district's western edge, in Flimby.
The duo pack utilizes a combination of colorful rip-stop mesh and suede on the upper, lending the pack a distinct outdoor aesthetic. Meanwhile, the custom tongue labels and logo design, the addition of a fluorescent strip around the mudguard, the Union Jack on the heel counter, as well as the flecked multi-tonal round shoe laces complete the look and feel of something you'd wear both up a mountain or scaling the streets. All purchases from Caliroots come with an exclusive print magazine, entitled "The Napes", detailing the geographic area and the inspiration behind this very English mountaineering pack.
Also available in grey and navy.
