Renowned designer Luca Nichetto has joined forces with the team at Hem to launch the Alphabeta Pendant lamps. The new line is a result of Nichetto’s ambition to create an alphabet of different shades combined with Hem’s quality build and materials. Alphabeta shades come in eight different shapes, each with its own color aside from the standard black and white. The pendants use a top and bottom shade around a single heartpiece for bi-directional lighting — and with over 24 available shapes per lamp, Alphabeta boasts over 10 billion combinations when combined with four pendants.
The new fixtures are brought to life at the “Ten Designers in the West Wing” exhibition ongoing from September 21 to 27 in London’s Somerset house. Alongside the lighting is also a grand piano connected to 44 of the Alphabeta lamps. All of this coincides with the start of the London Design Festival, where Hem will open its first physical retail space with a pop-up shop in Seven Dials.
You can customize and purchase your own Alphabeta Pendant Trio now for $987.
