Kanye West is not one for doing things by convention. When news emerged last week that the second installment of West’s yeezy.supply project with adidas Originals would be showing in New York as part of the city’s fashion week, there was no press release. There were no official invitations for press – as is normally the case – and there was no information on where the show would be taking place.
This morning – two hours before the show was scheduled to take place – two long-sleeves turned up at Highsnobiety’s New York office. Much like last season’s Tyvek windbreakers, the long-sleeves served as official invites for the show, and were printed on Rothco brand army surplus tees, which currently retail for $10.99 on Amazon.
Stay tuned for further information on the collection as it’s made available. With rumors circulating that adidas are no longer involved in the production of the collection’s apparel, it’s no doubt an interesting time for Kanye’s foray into fashion.
