Good design and a love of two wheels have long been part of Danish culture. Recognising this, furniture manufacturer Fritz Hansen, best known for reproducing classics from masters including Arne Jacobsen and Hans J.Wegner, turn their hand to the bicycle. Joining with cycle experts Velorbis, “shared values driven by an ambition of designing simple, functional and aesthetic products in the highest quality” have resulted in a city bike and accompanying set of bags. Inspired by Jacobsen’s iconic “Series 7” chair now in its 60th year, the “Arrow Seven 60” comes in bespoke Fritz Hansen brown and features a hand-built lugged and brazed frame, high-gloss stainless steel mudguards, leather seat and grips and a copper bell. Male and female frames are joined by a series of Italian leather saddle bags and briefcases handmade in Sweden. Find the series online.
