Banksy’s anti-amusement park has been the talk of fellow artists and art critics the world over – but what is it really like to be confronted by the exhibition? On first glance, Dismaland is set up to look like any run down amusement park that you’ve probably passed on a road trip. But, once inside it taps into feelings of despair and touches on the perception of a harsh but true reality.

Bogojev felt that “the whole setting slams the weight of the world into your face.” Being one of Banksy’s biggest projects to date, the focus looks at what we find once we dig a little deeper.

Check out the video above to see what it’s really like inside the dark soul of Dismaland. Afterwards, read a differing account about why it’s not all it’s cracked up to be.
