In a nod to the ’90s, adidas have begun reissuing their archetypal sneaker of that fabled decade with an updated series of colorways and fabrics. Their Equipment Running S(upport), originally released in ’93, sports a hefty amount of soft tan nubuck on the upper giving it a pretty sumptuous feel, juxtaposing that with black leather and soft mesh on the vamp and accenting the trademark Three Stripes as colorful lightweight nylon straps. The hefty sole unit uses a compression-molded EVA midsole and adidas’s unique TORSION support system at the core of a rubber outsole. The soft fabric top line combined with the Equipment’s characteristic wraparound tongue add to this gem from the sneaker archive’s unique look and feel.
