One of the world’s first concept retail stores dedicated to fashion, WP Lavori in Corso is no stranger to collaborations. However, its latest represents perhaps one of the more personal and idiosyncratic displays of talent since the store first opened its doors in 1985. To celebrate its 30 year anniversary, the WP Store connected with a choice selection of brands they’d worked with over the course of three decades. The result was the BlueBlack Collection: a range of 20 limited edition pieces from 18 international brands, reinterpreted according to the collection concept, including pieces from Woolrich, England’s Baracuta, French shoe label Paraboot and Japanese brand Nanamica. Debuting last week (October 1) in Paris’ Merci store, all pieces include tonal reference points across fabrics, linings, trim and the finer details, uniting a disparate collection from an array of designers under a single concept – in essence, mirroring the raison d’être of the WP Store itself.
