French ready-to-wear brand A.P.C. has formally announced that it has bought a stake in performance-wear company Outdoor Voices. The investment was made during Outdoor Voices’ latest funding round, in which they managed to secure $7 million to aid in their continued production of recreational technical apparel. To celebrate, the two companies will begin working on a collaborative collection that will launch in stores next year.

“I knew that I loved OV when I saw their fabric selection. They are so material focused that I immediately thought they were just like us. It’s a good time to mix real sportswear with real fashion, so the opportunity to invest was too good to miss,” said A.P.C. founder Jean Touitou of the new partnership.
