After exploding at the box office, Straight Outta Comptonthe well-received N.W.A biopic – continues to stay in the news thanks to a newly-filed lawsuit filed by former manager, Jerry Heller.

Portrayed in the film by Paul Giamatti, Heller charges breach of contract, copyright infringement and defamation against NBCUniversal, director F. Gary Gray, Legendary Pictures, the screenwriters, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, the estate of Eazy-E, and the rest of N.W.A – resulting in a lawsuit seeking $110 USD million in damages.

“The Film is littered with false statements that harm the reputation of Plaintiff and aim to ridicule and lower him in the opinion of the community and to deter third persons from associating or dealing with him,” says Heller’s complaint.

Stay tuned for further developments.
