With his new “Super Shadows” series, artist Jason Ratliff wants to empower children to dream big. The series, which depicts children’s shadows as geometric superheroes from Marvel Studios and DC Comics universes, is supposed to shine a light on the inherent power of a child’s potential and imagination.

According to Ratliff, these examples demonstrate “how a kid can be anything they want to be and the guy in the cape just helps represent those aspirations.”

If you like his work, prints of Ratliff’s “Super Shadows” series are currently available online with prices starting at $25.

After picking up a couple prints for your kids, be sure to read about why the superhero movie era will come to an end.
