News has emerged that pop megastar Beyoncé is set to partner with Topshop for a Spring 2016 collection of athleisure gear, dubbed “Parkwood Topshop Athletic.” Don’t call it a collaboration, though – Topshop head honcho Philip Green has instead stated the project is “about building a brand and building a business – a separate, proper business, with separate overheads and a separate office.”

The brand is due to launch in Topshop stores in as many as 25 countries, so no doubt you’ll be able to get your fix of Queen B’s latest venture when it drops in April 2016. No word on pricing yet, but as Topshop’s involved, we imagine it’ll be on the affordable end of things.

The athleisure category – so-called because it mixes athletic performance with casual styling – has grown immensely of late, particularly in womenswear, with many females increasingly drawn to clothing that’s equally at home on the streets as it is in the gym. See the rising popularity of adidas’ Stan Smith and Calvin Klein’s sporty underwear among ladies for proof.
