According to WWD, the latest rumor circulating around Paris is Raf Simons’ tentative appointment at Calvin Klein. Although he recently left Dior to focus on his namesake label and outside passions, the move would put him in a top creative position at the iconic American brand. However, if the deal were to go through it wouldn’t be for a few years as Simons’ contract with Dior includes a non-compete agreement and would bar the move from happening for some time.

The top three positions currently held at the label are occupied by: Francisco Costa, women’s creative director, Calvin Klein Collection; Italo Zucchelli, men’s creative director, Calvin Klein Collection and Ulrich Grimm, creative director of Calvin Klein men’s and women’s shoes and accessories. The clothing that drives the majority of the company’s revenues are overseen by Kevin Carrigan, global creative director of CK Calvin Klein, Calvin Klein Jeans and Calvin Klein White Label.

It’s unclear where the Belgian designer would sit within that structure but no doubt he’d be in charge of a major aspect of Calvin Klein.

Stay tuned for more and in the meantime, take a look at Simons’ amazing FW16 collection.
