In the fickle, ever-changing world of fashion – where there’s a constant hunger for something new and attention spans are short – it’s quite fascinating how long punk has endured as a fertile inspiration farm for global fashion houses. Saint Laurent quite obviously looked towards this well-flogged horse when it conjured up its new patchwork motorcycle jacket.
The classic side-zip design comprises of an entire constellation of leather patches, which range from plain black to checkers, animal prints of various shades, stars, colors, studs and even sequins. Other classic elements include a snap-down collar and a belted waistband. It’s an example of luxe shabbiness at its finest.
The Saint Laurent patchwork motorcycle jacket is available for pre-order now and retails at $9,900.
