Where form meets function

The results are in for this year’s World Press Photo Contest. 82,951 images were submitted by 5,775 photographers from 128 different countries around the world. Categories range from Daily Life and Nature to People, Sports and more. However, the World Press Photo of the Year went to Warren Richardson for his engaging black and white shot of a man passing a baby through the fence at the Hungarian-Serbian border in Röszke, Hungary.
