Where form meets function

Photographer Manuel Mittelpunkt and designer Matthias Grund have created a high-speed photo series that takes familiar company logos and uses liquid paint to retool them. Starting as laser-cut shapes attached to a rotary tool, the wooden logos were dipped in paint that matched the color of the corporation. Hooked up to a revolving mechanism, the paint dipped logos were then spun at high speeds and photographed in action to great effect.

We see signature graphics from the likes of Chanel, Facebook, Disney, Apple, Google, Nike, McDondald’s and more, all updated with a unique liquid swirl.

Not NYC, not LA.
