One thing that has always perplexed casual Star Wars viewers is how Han Solo came to be such close friends with a hairy intergalactic Sasquatch type thing like Chewbacca. With a spinoff movie dedicated to Han S. on the way, it appears that we’ll finally get an answer to that question.
According to Lucasfilm president, Kathleen Kennedy, this particular origin story will feature Han Solo at the youngest we’ve ever seen him, with Harrison Ford replaced by an actor in his 20s – which is understandable, as the movie isn’t scheduled ’til after Star Wars Episode VIII, which is set for a 2018 release. Lest we forget, Harrison is 73 now… 73!
