Meet Becca Dudley, the latest to be featured in our ongoing Meet the Muse series. When she’s not playing host to a number of shows on MTV, Becca can be heard on Apple Music’s Beat 1 radio station and as a resident DJ for Hoxton Radio, where she churns out bass-rattling, bashment/dancehall beats.

Becca took time out of her hectic schedule to be captured by photographer Daniel Sachon rocking brands such as Palace, HUF, adidas Originals and more.

We asked Becca 10 questions in order to get to know her a little more. See what she had to say below and check out our previous Meet the Muse installment with Yoyo Cao.

Your current 9-to-5?

For me each day is a different job and different hours. Currently, I am a presenter on MTV (currently host around six different shows) and Apple Music radio station, Beats 1. I am also a bashment DJ and have a fortnightly reggae and dancehall show on Hoxton radio. So, as you can imagine, it’s never a straight-forward 9-5!

Your ideal Saturday night?

Carbs on carbs on carbs on ice cream on cake on best friends.

Your greatest hidden talent?

I can play drums and sing. I’m super out of practice though as I don’t have enough free time to keep them going, so I tend to keep them hidden.

Your first thought each morning?

“10 more minutes.”

Your top holiday destination?

Jamaica. I’ve only been twice but it feels like home, and the last time I went was potentially the happiest I’ve been. It’s a beautiful place in so many ways.

Your no.1 album?

I honestly can’t pick one so I’ll hit you with three that I’ve rinsed this past year: Ancient Future by Protoje, Making Time by Jamie Woon and Summertime ’06 by Vince Staples.

Your most embarrassing memory?

Back in the modeling days, I went to a casting thinking they wanted models, when really they wanted dancers. I had to do a “New Wave Street Hip-Hop freestyle” in a room of professional dancers, and instead of saying, “nah sorry, I’m not a dancer, I can’t dance, I don’t know what new wave street hip-hop freestyling is, I’m going to leave.” I thought “hey let’s try this shall we!? I’ll just wing it!” An entire minute (yet it seemed like a lifetime) of me imitating what I thought a new wave street hip hop dancer MIGHT do ( I still have no idea) but REALLY badly. One of the worst moments of my life ever.

Your favorite meal?

My mum’s Jamaican Christmas dinner. Everything from rice, peas and mac ‘n’ cheese, to roasted potatoes and turkey. 10 meals rolled into one meal is the best kind of meal, yo.

Your guaranteed party jam?

If I’m playing in a club, I have a mad Sean Paul ‘”Get Busy” dub plate that always gets the crowd hyped no matter what kind of night I’m playing. Or, if I’m on the dance floor or getting ready to party, Alkaline’s “Champion Boy.”

Your life ambition?

Career wise, it’s to be respected and rated by the people I look up to in the industry. And to make enough money to support my amazing family.
