From the ground up

Approaching Nike’s annual Air Max Day, we’ve connected with artist Marina Esmeraldo to depict some of the most recognizable Air Max silhouettes as dot-to-dot puzzles.

Starting with the Air Max 1 set against Paris’s Centre Georges-Pompidou (the well-known inspiration for Tinker Hatfield’s design that would kick-off the Air Max series), the images move through several iterations that were first introduced during the ’90s.

Enjoy the illustrations below, and don’t miss our gallery showing our favorite Nike Air Max models reimagined in the style of 17th-century oil paintings.
