The ethical French sneaker label Veja this year celebrates 10 years in the business. Over the course of the decade, the label has perfected the art of doing things right: from the obvious markers like having an actual strong set of sneaker designs, to wider issues like sourcing of raw materials, worker’s conditions and rights, and even down to the distribution of the products themselves.

Veja’s new V-10 celebrates 10 years in the game. Crafted in Brazil, the sneaker’s upper uses low chrome leather, with perforated detailing on the vamp and the label’s iconic V on the lateral flank crafted from 60% wild rubber. The inner uses recycled cotton, all sitting on a sole unit made from 60% wild Amazonian rubber. Colorways come in full-tonal extra white, black (with cream sole), and extra white with red and blue accents on the heel tab and on the sneaker’s signature V logo.

The V-10 forms the flagship piece in Veja’s wider collection for SS16, which includes the label’s signature court shoe, the Esplar, in the extra white colorway, as well as Veja’s suede and b-mesh Holiday runner in white, black, nautico gray, and jute and natural marsala.
