Azealia Banks vs. Sarah Palin
To many, Azealia Banks has a special talent for sticking her foot in her mouth. This week she took her extraordinary capability for sharing her unfiltered thoughts with the internet to new lows when she advocated for the gang-rape of former presidential candidate Sarah Palin.
Her tirade was sparked by a satirical article that claimed Palin had defended slavery...
Politicops.comFrance’s minister for women’s rights has compared Muslim women who wear the veil to American “Negroes” who accepted slavery, in an interview with French media. Laurence Rossignol made the comments to RMC radio and BFM TV, igniting accusations of racism on Wednesday across social media as a petition was launched calling on the minister to resign. In just a few hours, the petition gathered more than 10,000 signatures. On the other hand, Sarah Palin, former half-term governor of Alaska and reality TV star, agreed with the French minister’s statement. She even used the remark herself while commenting on the incident during an interview with a local Alaska newspaper. “I’m telling you, I’ve been saying it for years, but nobody’s listening – slavery wasn’t forced onto African-Americans, they accepted it willingly,” she said. “But, all of a sudden, they realized that it represented a very powerful bargaining chip that could help them milk more money out of the national budget. And now they’re even complaining white people are racist. That is just horrendous.” She continued, “We’ve got a situation where our internal matters have become so obvious that even foreigners can clearly see what’s going on. I mean, you’ve got a French minister calling it like it is, whereas we Americans, citizens of the very country that gave birth to the so-called ‘abolishment’ of slaves, are turning a blind eye. Well, not all of us are pretending to ignore this issue, and I’m going to say it once again loudly and clearly: Negroes loved being slaves and they were doing just fine under our rules. So, you see, you can’t really blame us for any of it, not legitimately.” “If they liked it and enjoyed it, how can you pin that on white people?” Palin asked. “Are the Chinese blaming their leaders for being communist? No, of course not – they’re working their butts off and are prospering because they’re keeping it real. That’s what we need to start doing, because we’re not at fault for slavery. Negroes loved being slaves because of the simple fact that they can’t tackle the world around them on their own. They need someone to govern them, to show them how to organize, how to live as a community, in a civilized manner. They pretty much need us more than we need them.”
Banks, believing the article to be true unleashed the following tirade...
Palin responded via Facebook post... Hey Female Rapper - listen up, little darling. No one has any idea what you're wigging out about in these bizarre,...

Palin also told People Magazine that she was considering suing Banks. The rapper responded with these tweets...
Beyoncé vs. Feyoncé
This week a Texas company called Feyoncé ended up getting an unlikely nod from the Queen B for its "Single Ladies" inspired merch. Unfortunately, the nod came via her lawyers.
In a complaint filed in Manhattan federal court Yonce accuses the company of "adopting the Feyonce mark to call to mind Beyonce and her famous song. Defendants' conduct described herein is intentional, fraudulent, malicious, willful and wanton."
Chris Brown vs. Tinashe
The yin to Azealia Bank's social media yang has got to be Chris Brown. This week he once again proved their odd kinship when he took issue with R&B singer Tinashe after she unfollowed him on social media in protest of his opinions on fellow singer Kehlani's suicide attempt...
Though Tinashe believed her and Brown were still on good terms his reaction indicated otherwise...
Iggy Azalea vs. Uncle Sam
Despite returning to the music scene with a new single titled "Team", it's been tough going for Iggy Azalea. Recently she found herself embroiled in a cheating scandal when her fiancé Nick Young was outted for infidelity by a fellow team mate. Apparently that wasn't enough because shortly after the IRS swooped through to smack her with a tax lien of $391,056.55.
The rapper seemed to respond to the claims with this tweet...
Tyga vs. The Internet
This week in awkward family ties the Kardashians got a new addition in the form of Kylie Jenner's boyfriend's baby mama, Blac Chyna. Chyna has been seeing Kylie's big brother, Rob Kardashian for some time now and this week the couple decided to make things official with an engagement.
The impending nuptials created a situation in which Tyga will become the uncle and father to his son with Chyna, and Kylie would be the step-aunt and step-mother. The internet promptly had a field day...
Tyga did not see the joke...
YG & Nipsey Hussle vs. The Police
YG and Nipsey Hussle recently collaborated on the song "Fuck Donald Trump". As a follow-up the two decided to shoot a video on Crenshaw Boulevard in Los Angeles and invited fans and supporters to join them. The festivities were short-lived as not long after the Los Angeles Police Department came through in riot gear to shut down the shoot and issue citations to a number of people in the crowd.
One Instagram user described the scene as follows...
"First they pulled out tasers, then pistols, then SHOTGUNS. Not sure any of that was necessary, but my nigga @nipseyhussle executed like a professional. Hands up. We was all in a peaceful FUCK DONALD TRUMP mood. No rioting, no fighting, we were together. I guess expressing political views with togetherness requires police to pull out shotguns."
